Allows administrators the opportunity to make use of either prepared or aligned courses ranging from ABE and CASAS to individual High-Stakes Test Preparations, or take advantage of the programs unique modular approach which allows individual educational establishments to create programs and classes to meet their needs.
Incorporates real life scenarios throughout the product to give students something to relate to in order to remember the concept.
Assesses student deficiencies and creates individual education plans that students can progress through at their own pace.
Our ESL/LEP product begins at a 2.6 grade reading level.
Provides a multi-sensory approach to learning, augmenting the English lessons with Spanish audio and allowing the student to control a toggle switch on each screen.
Individual assessments enhance learning a new language by concentrating on those skills most needed by each student.
The self-paced lessons allow students the opportunity to spend as little or as much time as they need in each area of competency without fear or embarrassment.
Our vocational courses include math and language skills as they relate to specific professions including carpentry, plumbing, construction, food service, office administration, and medical technology.
With its open architecture and easy to use administration system, the learning system provides a mechanism for the inclusion of acronyms and definitions specific to each industry.
Aztec Software offers a complete medical vocabulary course including basic, intermediate and advanced skills.
Aztec Software offers lesson guides based on scoring TABE levels E, M, and D.
Life and workforce skills are wrapped around all TABE courseware allowing the adult learner to relate to the material and significantly increase retention.
Each student is assessed and studies courseware only in the areas where remediation is needed. This allows the student to accomplish more in less time.
The Aztec learning materials are specifically targeted towards the special needs population because they utilize a greater number of sensory modalities. Using the sensory processes of seeing, hearing, and interacting in a simultaneous mode reinforces the learning process. The software is designed in a simple sequential curriculum with color and graphics to reinforce learning. While this method of delivery is valuable for all students, people with special needs will benefit the most.
The life skills components of the Aztec Learning System provide a venue for students to be engaged in the practical application of the lessons. Learners work with a checkbook and workplace notices rather than cartoon characters and irrelevant subject matter. The net result is that students are learning important survival skills, and retaining the information longer because it applies to their daily lives.
Most importantly, the software assessments create individualized educational plans (IEPs) allowing students to proceed at their own pace while providing documentation that details their progress. These assessments are all research based and aligned to state academic standards.
